In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the art of denim repair, transforming those rips and tears into a conversation starter. Grab your ripped up jeans and let's make them wearable again.
- Dive into the basics of visible mending – no more hiding imperfections, let's celebrate them!
- Get creative with our vibrant fabric scraps.
- Learn mending techniques, from basic stitches to decorative designs.
- You can also bring a denim jacket, woven pants, or button down shirts. Garments with minimal stretch and made from natural fibers (cotton, linen, hemp) are recommended. If you're not sure what to bring, just ask!
- All materials, including denim scraps, needles, and threads, will be provided. Just bring your old denim and a daring spirit!
Some sewing experience is recommended, but if you’re feeling adventurous, don’t hesitate to join! This class is all about embracing imperfections and turning them into something unique. Your denim will thank you, and you'll leave with skills that will have you looking at clothing repairs in a whole new light.

What’s a mending circle? Mend your clothing in community. Two heads are better than one, especially when it comes to your favorite sweaters or jeans! Bring 1-3 items of your holey, ripped, or stained clothing for repair. We'll have sewing supplies and a sewing machine set up and we'll help you with your mending needs.
- Come for some or all of the time
- Even if you've never sewn before our mending circles are a welcoming space to pick up a needle and thread for the first time.
